Receiving just digital files is a job half-done. As artists, the final culmination of our service to you and the best way to remember your wedding is the artwork piece in your home and the album passed down for generations.

All of our collections include either a book or album, which is included in the collection price. We don’t want your photos to die on your phone or get lost on your computer. Instead, you will hang them on the walls of your home as a constant reminder of the people you treasure most and one of the most important days of your life.

engagement SESSIONS

Engagement sessions allow you to get comfortable in front of the camera and ensure less awkwardness on your wedding day. We also learn how you interact naturally, and get to know your REAL smiles and laughs. If you want the BEST wedding photos and truly authentic expressions, an engagment session is a must!

What’s the difference between the simple and full engagement session?

Our simple engagement session is about 1 hour long and includes one location. If you’re wanting more than one location and multiple outfits, then the FULL engagement is for you. We can do natural and downtown, or the place you met and a favorite overlook with sweeping views of the countryside. Most of our couples opt for the full session as you get a lot more variety in your session.

frequently asked QUESTIONS

While we can brag about our years of experience (15+), art school background, destinations traveled or even publications, that’s probably not what you’re looking for. Simply put, we care BEYOND belief about you as a couple more than anything else. Your wedding day is only one day (albeit a significant one!) in your journey. There is a lot to your story that is yet to come! We love capturing the first chapter, and we look forward to connecting with our couples over the years to come – it’s honestly our favorite part of what we do.

This will depend on the length of coverage, size of wedding party and families, details, and much more. On average, you can expect 75-100 photos per hour of coverage, however we sometimes deliver a LOT more than that.

For weddings, you will receive your photos 6-8 weeks after your wedding or sooner. For engagement sessions, it is 2-3 weeks. We do offer a rush service if you desire to see photos sooner.

Roundtrip travel to weddings within an hour drive of me (50112) do not incur any travel fees. This includes Des Moines, Ames, Pella, most of Iowa City, and places in between. Beyond that, we charge for travel at a rate of $70 for each hour of roundtrip travel For most locations outside that radius, travel fees end up around $25-60 for most weddings. Locations beyond 2 hours require overnight accommodations and compensation for travel.

We photograph engagement sessions within the Des Moines metro complimentary or within a 30 minute drive of 50112. Beyond that, we charge at the same rate of $70 per hour of travel each way.

Because our Saturdays are often booked with weddings and Sundays are our day off with family, the majority of our engagement sessions are held on weekdays (typically, Tuesday-Thursday, with occasional Friday openings). We do offer some open Saturdays during the slower winter season. We HIGHLY recommend planning in advance for your preferred date and season since popular times of year tend to be reserved quite early. Please also note that we cannot always accommodate reschedules due to weather. Embrace the imperfect and have fun no matter what – we promise you’ll still have beautiful photos if it’s rainy or windy!

Absolutely! I can make suggestions for locations and outfits based on your preferences, and you will receive a complete guide that will help you feel 100% prepared for your session.

Your online storefront includes options for prints, cards, canvases, framed prints, and a lot more. Order directly from your storefront and receive beautiful stunning products that include our own personal guarantee.

Want to print on your own? You are completely welcome to, just know we cannot guarantee color and quality when products are not printed by us.

You’ll receive a personal print release with your images when you download your images. This allows you to print and share your images with friends and family, share online, etc.

If you are interested in a commercial license, please reach out to discuss options. For 99.9% of our clients, our standard personal release covers their needs.

Dates are officially booked once we receive your retainer and signed contract.

Our entire booking process takes place online and is quick and easy. We accept credit cards, bank transfers, checks, and Venmo.
