When I heard Glenn & Abby’s proposal story, I couldn’t help but laugh and know that we were going to have a good time together at their wedding. Â When bugs, a lighthouse, and a garage are all involved, and the girl says yes, you know it’s love! Â And when they request engagement photos in camo gear and chuck taylors, but she shows up in a swanky skirt and blouse and he’s got a tie on, I knew we’d get along great. Â Abby and Glenn are truly the perfect mix of elegance and country. Â They are kind, laid back, not to mention incredibly photogenic!
Abby & Glenn exchanged vows at the Scottish Rite Consistory in downtown Des Moines on Sept 1st in front of many of their friends and family, with a celebration to rival all others immediately following. Â I have to give a HUGE thanks to both of their families – they were so incredibly sweet and such a breeze throughout the day. Â Abby’s dad, Kurt, kept bringing us bottled water and offering snacks!
One thing I love about the Scottish Rite is the insanely gorgeous surroundings and beautiful natural light. Â It was so much fun to photograph there!

Abby, you are seriously the most STUNNING bride!
I guess I liked the photo on the right so much, I used it twice!
I looooooooved Abby’s veil.  So beautiful and long and fun to play with 🙂
Next to photos by my second shooter, Jim Stepp  (thanks for all your help!)
Glenn was seriously the easiest groom to photograph – so relaxed and easy going.
Their reception was held downstairs in the ballroom. Â Their yummy cake was provided by Glorious Desserts
Glenn asked us to all sing happy birthday to his grandma who turned 80 this year!
I teared up as soon as I saw her dancing on her daddy’s feet…
Grandma & Grandpa “won” the anniversary dance!
CONGRATS, Abby & Glenn!  Leave them some comment love 🙂
