I’m so excited to finally share photos from Amy &  Matthew’s JOYFUL wedding.  And yes, it was joy-ful.  Anyone who knows these two knows that their laughs are completely contagious, and you can’t help but smile when you’re around them.  It made photographing their wedding an absolute blast 🙂
Amy & Matthew were married at First Baptist Church of Greater Des Moines, and then held a reception for their friends & family at Jester Park Lodge in Johnston. Â Congrats to you both!
I may have gone overboard on the ring shots…
“Holy @$##%^#&$*, I’m getting married today!” Â Or something to that effect. Â Only from Amy!
Meanwhile, the guys were relaxing a bit…
If these next three photos don’t convince you of just how special a First Look is for your wedding day, I don’t know what will. Â The exuberance, delight, and love was so special.
Amy, you were such a gorgeous bride!
By far some of the most amazing ceremony worship music I’ve ever experienced at a wedding. Â Amy’s good friend, Amy, belted out some amazing notes.
I loved this detail. Â Amy’s step-father passed away last spring, and he was such a wonderful man and incredibly important to her. Â Since he couldn’t be there to walk her down the aisle along with her father, her mom placed a pair of his shoes with his own boutonniere right by the altar.
Many thanks to my second shooter Jim for capturing these next two shots from the balcony.
“We’re married!”  I love you, Amy!  Nothing can contain your excitement 🙂
Right after the ceremony, we headed over to Jester Park Lodge for their reception. Â The decorations were phenomenal!
Go Cubbies!
Congrats, you two!  I’m so happy for you both 🙂
