I first met Christina about 2 1/2 years ago when I was planning to move to Iowa. I instantly new we’d be good friends. She is just the sweetest person, and Dave is a lucky guy for sure!
Dave and Christina’s wedding day was perfect – they were able to celebrate at the place they fell in love around their closest family and friends. Even if the weather had been terrible (it wasn’t!), or the cake tasted bad (they had homemade pie!), it wouldn’t have mattered – these two were just so happy to finally be married, and it was a joy to witness that. Congrats Christina & Dave! I was so blessed to be a part of your wedding day.
Christina’s dad kept sneaking quick kisses on her cheek throughout the day – it was so adorable!
I love the chocolate brown and tangerine colors they chose, and the vintage flowers. Christina even arranged all the flowers and bouquets herself with the help of some friends! They looked marvelous.
I’m not sure how such handsome guys could be such goofballs…
I love this photo of Christina peaking through the window just before the ceremony and her father just grinning with excitement – it was truly a joyous day.
Christina & Dave chose to have their ceremony outside at Grinnell College, where they met and fell in love. Not only is at an absolutely beautiful campus, but we had a gorgeous day and just the right amount of shade to relieve us from the hot August heat.
When Dave started saying his vows, out of the corner of my eye, I saw his mom start to tear up a bit. It took everything within me not to get weepy too – their vows were beautiful!
Right at the end of the aisle, while no one was looking, they shared a big grin – married at last!
Right after the ceremony, we escaped for a few relaxed portraits. Dave & Christina are so photogenic, and not too shabby looking either! There were a lot of amazing photos – here’s just a few.
Christina looked so beautiful…
A few details from the day, including Dave’s ring. It used to belong to Christina’s father, but he had replaced his original wedding band, and then gave it to Dave, who had it polished and sized for himself.
Dave & Christina had an awesome send off – sparklers! When I first ran outside to grab this picture, I was a little nervous my hair would catch on fire because it was just absolute chaos. But everything was fine and it was a fun way to end the night.
Congrats Dave and Christina! I had a blast and I’m so happy for you both.
