I’m still catching up on senior sessions from last fall – I’ve got about 10 more to go! It was a busy year 🙂 I was so fortunate to work with Danell on her senior session. She came from Ankeny Centennial High School – we had a lot of Ankeny seniors this year 🙂 Danell did her own hair and make up styling, and did a FABULOUS job! I love her classic fresh look – it’s perfect on her!
We started in town for a few relaxed urban portraits here in Grinnell. That pop of turquoise is my favorite!
Then we headed outside of town to a more rural location. Danell rides horses, and so it was important to her to have some photos that hinted at a more natural country location.

I’m not sure if I just happen to work with seniors who always have perfect skin, but for real, it seems to be a trend! Dnell…I wish my skin looked half that good when I was a senior!
