Family Portraits are BACK!

I’m so excited to share that starting in 2017, family portrait sessions are BACK!!!  This has been a longtime request from many faithful JWP clients, particularly my senior parents, but also my wedding clients!  I’m constantly having people beg me for full family portrait sessions, and after resisting for years and years, I’m happy to announce that they are back and available for everyone starting the summer of 2017!

Family portrait sessions will be a FULL session experience, similar to the approach I take with senior portraits.  No rushed mini/petite sessions – these are custom sessions tailored to YOU!  I’ll consult with you about locations, wardrobe (probably the most common thing people stress about!) and how to prepare your family and kids for a professional photo session.  We’ll shoot at a few locations and make sure we have some beautiful portraits that are worthy of display in your home.

Family sessions will be a mix of posed portraits with everyone smiling at the camera, and relaxed lifestyle images full of emotion and interaction.  Sessions are catered and customized to your family’s interests, ages, and stages.  All sessions are about 1-2 hours in length, with flexibility built in for the unpredictable nature of younger children, snack breaks, travel time, outfit changes, etc.

As a full service photographer, it’s important to me that my clients have gorgeous heirloom quality portraits to hang in their home or display in an album.  I offer a variety of products for purchase at your ordering appointment that will take place a few weeks after your session.  We’ll talk through your decor style, wall gallery needs, gift needs, etc and make sure you purchase the products you love and are excited about!

Your session fee covers the preparation, consultation, planning, and shooting time for your session, and all prints, products, frames, albums, or digital products are sold separately at your ordering appointment.  Yes, digital collections are available, however I encourage families to consider the benefit of having the service of your prints delivered to you FINISHED and ready to hang.  One less thing to worry about, and your memories are displayed in your home that much sooner for you to enjoy!

I sincerely believe that having a beautiful family portrait is a MUST for everyone!  It makes me a bit sad when I hear from parents that they’ve never had a good family picture taken, or the best they have is on their phone or Facebook!  And I know half of the reason is because just like me, families are SUPER BUSY!  However, if you wait or put it off, it will be years down the road before you realize your literally have no good portrait of your entire family together and you missed documenting your little one’s childhood, or the early years of your marriage, or the teenage years.  So please, don’t wait!
