Grandma Shirley’s Parasol

I was able to spend some time with my adorable niece and nephew this week, and we did a photo session.  On a whim, I brought this beautiful red parasol that belonged to my grandmother, whom I call Nana.  It seemed to suit Haley well, and she LOVED holding it.  I believe the parasol is from either Hong Kong or Japan, and my Nana would have purchased it in the 50s when their family was stationed in Japan during the Korean War.  Four generations later, and it’s still much appreciated, and a beautiful prop for photos!

More photos from their session coming next week – there’s so many great ones!
