Hi everyone, my name is Madeline Spencer and I work for JWP as a virtual assistant! I’ll be tackling some of the blogging, social media, and hopefully getting to interact with some of you!
I’m an Iowa girl through and through – however, it feels a little weird to claim that because I assume that you’re picturing a farm girl in your head and that’s definitely not me! I was born and raised in Ames and went to Iowa State University for college. I studied Public Relations and Event Management and I graduated in 2017. My early post college days were spent working in high school ministry at the church that I grew up in. It was there that I met and fell in love with my co-leader of the ministry (oops!) and we were married earlier this year! If your mind hears that we were married in 2020 and wonders what that looked like, stay tuned for a post about planning a Covid wedding!
After getting married I moved to Des Moines and started working part time at a local homeless shelter. This leaves me with the flexibility to also work for JWP and do some of the public relations work that I love while also getting to look at beautiful photos all day. If I’m not working you can probably catch me finding the best happy hour deals with my friends or watching hilarious reality TV shows with my husband! I hope to keep you as well informed as possible about all things photography and JWP Weddings!
