We offer a variety of  beautiful luxury handcrafted custom albums to showcase your stunning images. We also have art for your walls (YES….you can showcase boudoir images on your walls!) as well as a variety of smaller gifts & keepsakes.  Digital file options are available as well.  There are numerous options to customize your ideal collection!

Our clients typically spend between $1500-3000 on their luxury custom products.

THE STUDIO

LOFT STUDIO WITH ALL THE VIBES

All boudoir sessions are held at our downtown loft photography studio, located in the heart of Grinnell, Iowa.  Situated on the second floor, you can rest assured that you will be 100% comfortable in our studio with complete privacy and no curious glances from strangers at a hotel. 

The studio features original brick walls, reminiscent of an NYC loft, with three large windows with perfect light for your session.  Our windows feature beautiful sheer drapes for privacy and there are no facing buildings across the street.  There is access to a restroom and changing area as well.  

The JWP studio has furnishings chosen specifically for boudoir sessions, as well as a lounge area to meet for your ordering appointment following your session.  You’ll feel right at home, we promise!

ABSOLUTELY.  I will demonstrate poses for you and show you exactly what to do and where to look.  No, you don’t need modeling experience!  Every woman you see on our website is a normal woman just like you.  I will coach you through posing and facial expressions from head to toe.  You won’t have to worry about a thing. 

Your boudoir session and ordering session are all held in our gorgeous photography studio located in Grinnell, Iowa

Sessions begin either at 10 AM or after lunch around 1 or 1:30 PM.   

We have very LIMITED weekend availability, primarily due to weddings and availability of makeup artists.  If you are interested in a weekend appointment, please contact us at least 3 months in advance.  Our session rates for Saturdays is $500

Your boudoir experience typically lasts around 4-5 hours in total.  We’ll start with hair and makeup (1 hour), and then your photo session will take place over 2 hours or so.  We take a quick break for you to grab a snack or bite to eat, I work a little magic on photos, and then you come back in to view your images and choose your products the SAME day.

I hear this concern a LOT from clients, and when you see your photos, trust me you will NOT think that for one second. Just trust me and I will help you with posing, expression, and the entire look.

First, send us an inquiry through the website, and we’ll get back to you with a few more details.  Then we’ll hop on the phone for a consultation to talk about your dream shoot!  I’ll ask you questions about makeup, hair, outfits, products we offer, give you tips for preparing for the shoot, and go over any questions you may have.    We’ll pick a day and time for your session.  To officially book your session, you’ll need to pay your session fee as a retainer and sign our contract.  

Everyone is!  It’s totally normal.  Don’t worry, we will have SO much fun, and once you see your images, you’ll realize it was worth it!

Let’s cover this one first – it’s probably the one I get the most questions about.

How your images are used by me is entirely up to you. I will not publish photos anywhere unless I have your written permission.  Some clients prefer to keep everything private, others are excited to share publicly – it is 100% your decision for sure! That being said, I wouldn’t be able to showcase sessions or have a business without clients who are willing to share images, so I am always grateful if you are willing to share even a few anonymous ones, but there is literally NO pressure and it is always always your choice.

We find that many women feel self-conscious about investing in something that makes them feel special and beautiful, but the majority of our clients walk away with DOZENS of stunning portraits in their albums, for their walls, or as keepsakes.  We create beautiful artwork to commemorate this experience, and you may be thinking you don’t want much…and then realize when you see your photographs that you want them all!  You don’t want *just a few* to share online after a 2 hour+ luxury experience, trust me!  We offer pre-session payment plans (with perks!) however we also have a variety of smaller product options that are more budget friendly.

Many MANY of our clients do their boudoir shoot JUST for themselves.  Seriously!  You don’t need a reason to justify feeling amazing and confident, because this is for you.  

We have lots of tips for you on choosing outfits, and we also have a client closet full of many different styles and sizes.

We accept checks, cash, major credit cards, and Venmo.  We offer pre-session payment plans for sessions and our packages as well. All product orders must be paid in full at your session, we do not do payment plans after your session.
