Erin is not your typical bride, and Joseph is not your typical groom. Â He planned most of it, and she didn’t seem to be nervous at all when I arrived early Saturday morning. Â The entire day was relaxing, yet brimming with joy and celebration. Â It was a pleasure to photograph such warm and welcoming friends, both alumni from Grinnell College. Â There were so many photos to choose from , I’m doing multiple posts. Â Soon you’ll see some pics from their super fun reception – I had a blast!
Starting off the day with a beautiful Monique Lhuillier lace wedding gown? Â Why yes, I would love to!
We were blessed with a beautiful November day, and Erin and her crew indulged me for some relaxed portraits outside. Â It was still a tiny bit chilly, but it was totally worth it since they all look stunning.
Erin and Joseph had their wedding and reception at Californos in the Westport area of Kansas City. Â There was this beautiful street just outside the restaurant that was perfect for a few couples photos, and for Erin to show off her beautiful dress.
I have to share this hysterical photo of Joseph and his groomsmen.  I asked them to “act casual”, and they interpreted that to mean that they should all pretend to be secret agents.  🙂  I also loved this little ice cream right next store to the restaurant.  Too bad I couldn’t convince them to order me a special treat!
Stay tuned for part two!
