When I first met Josie, I remember thinking to myself – is she for real? Lol! Not only is Josie incredibly sweet and gracious, she’s also got those girl-next-door good looks and a cantagious smile. The best part though? She’s totally confident in herself, even when she has know idea what in the world she’s doing. I love that 🙂 It’s rare that I get to work with a senior who just LOVES being photographed, but is also that at ease with themselves, not a care in the world. Everything was effortless with Josie, and throughout the past year, as Josie has been one of my senior REPs, I was fortunate enough to photograph her not once, not twice, three times…but four! I feel like I’ve gotten to know her and her family quite well! Her sister Jess (hi!) is one of JWPs biggest fans, and actually encouraged Josie to apply to be a REP (she really didn’t need the encouragement…she was planning to do it already!) This past fall, I got to meet their brother, Jack, and we did a short family mini session of the 3 siblings. All I can say is that this family is wonderful – I love them! Josie, thanks so much for being SO fabulous to work with and introducing me to your family. It’s truly been a pleasure!
Last spring, we met up for session number one…we’ll call this the pretty spring series!
Towards the end of session one, it started to rain 🙁 And then it got REALLY windy. We were going to try to tough it out, but the weather was getting ridiculous. So we held session two a few days later, our at the farm!
Session three was in the fall, when Josie and her siblings came over for a quick mini shoot, and we grabbed a few of Josie as well. Because…why not? 🙂
Session four was truly unique. I have been wanting to do more dramatic studio lighting and to experiment more with how I photograph seniors, especially sports. We hadn’t gotten many shots of Josie with her volleyball gear, so I suggested a quick shoot at the high school gym. And it was AWESOME! This may be one of my most favorite shoots I did this year! A special thanks to her friend (and fellow JWP senior!) Mariah for helping us out!
Josie, you better stay close by so we can do this all again! Have an awesome senior year 🙂
