Life Behind the Lens: Nutella, Crawling, and 90s Fashion Revival

It’s been way too long since I did a Life Behind the Lens
post. So long, that I nearly forgot I ever did one! Oops. Time to
bring that category back to life with this week’s installment!
Things I’m Excited About
Photographing Carrie & Kurt’s wedding this weekend! – The
amazing modern album I designed for a recent senior. Can’t wait to
share photos of it! – Fall weather! I’m so ready for it after this
ridiculous heat wave we have endured for a good part of August. –
my 8 month old learned to crawl this weekend! I’m both proud of him
and dreading all of the baby proofing that needs to be done. iPhone

Yes, this happened… – I
scoffed at all of the Halloween candy already one grocery store
shelves (really? It’s the beginning of September only…) and then
proceeded to eat an entire box of fudge covered graham crackers
unless than 24 hours. No double standard there… – I did a happy
dance when I finished editing a backlog of sessions and weddings.
Such a relief to have that checked off my list! – I posted an
Instagram video of my son purposely hidden under a blanket (well,
it’s a wrap, but it looks like a blanket). I’m sure I’m the only
one who finds it amusing. – I bought Nutella for the sole purpose
of just spreading it on toast. I’m guessing it will be gone in less
than a week. – I started pinning ideas on Pinterest for my son’s
first birthday…he’s only 8 months old, and we likely won’t have a
themed party anyways, but a girl can dream, right? 20130905-164032.jpg
Things on my mind… – Will I ever
sleep longer than 4 hours again? (Parents, don’t answer that
question…) – I may buy my first pair of post-pregnancy pants, and
I am not looking forward to this prospect. – in the process of
scoping out possible said pants, I noticed that many trends from
the 90s are coming back. As a child of the 90s, this is exciting
and terrifying all at once. I’m really hoping giant shoulder pads
and the excessive bedazzled layers and leather (think N*Sync circa
1998) are forgotten in this fashion revival. – I’ve been working on
a MAJOR website overhaul, and I can’t wait for it to be finished!
That’s all for this week! What have you been up to lately?
