We were so excited to join Rachel and Tyler at their beautiful summer wedding at Country Lane Lodge outside of Des Moines! This sweet couple met while in school as a part of a study group and started studying just the two of them shortly after. Â I’m sure you can fill in the blanks, but not surprisingly, this led to them dating!
They got engaged in Tyler’s home country of Canada overlooking Crypt Lake in Alberta. Not many couples have to take a ferry, climb a mountain, go through a tunnel, and cling to a wire railing to find a trail that leads to the place where they say yes to forever. But Rachel and Tyler did just that! After a classic Canadian lunch of Tim Hortons, Tyler popped the question and of course Rachel said yes!
This day was filled with gorgeous and unique details. From the stunning red of the bridesmaids dresses to a similar red on the Canadian flag that they danced with, Rachel and Tyler truly made this day their own. The best part – the unity tree that they planted during the ceremony was made up of soil that came from both of their families land that the mother’s brought up the altar. These personal touches created such special moments throughout the day!

As you can see, Rachel and Tyler’s wedding day was filled with so many little perfect moments. This golden hour moment was just one of them. It was such a joy to spend the day with this couple and their family and friends for a lovely summer wedding. We wish them all the best! Congratulations again Rachel and Tyler!
