Let’s go back a few weeks (ok, months…) to August, when it was warm and sunny, and everyone in the small town of Oelwein, IA was ready to celebrate a wonderful occasion – Rhiannon & Drew’s wedding!  I love that these two are high school sweethearts, celebrating 9 years together just a few weeks after they tied the knot!  When I arrived to capture their day, I was greeted warmly by Rhiannon’s mother, and soon after, Drew’s mom as well.  The entire day flowed seamlessly and was a perfect reflection of them as a couple: lots of friends and family, their favorite places (we got ready at Rhiannon’s parent’s home, with corn fields right out the window!), and plenty of time to celebrate.  It was perfect!  I especially love the country chic style that Rhiannon wove in throughout the day.  Everything from her vintage style ring and lace dress, to the touch of sparkle and rustic wood at their reception – it totally worked!  Thanks for allowing me to capture your special day – it was a pleasure!
I started the day photographing Rhiannon’s gorgeous lace gown alongside the rest of her details.
Her ring was simply stunning!
The daddy-daughter first look is quickly becoming one of my favorite things.
Her mom gave her this set of charms for her bouquet – so sweet
We spent a bit of time around the farm taking a few photos of the couple – even though it was SUPER sunny and hot, these are some of my favorites!
Rbi’s aunts built this gorgeous vintage door backdrop just for photos – lucky me!
We dashed off to the church and were able to get in a few quick couples shots before the guests started arriving.
Drew’s mom was so sweet watching her youngest get married 🙂
Big big BIG wedding party
One of my favorites!
These two girls in their giant goofy ballet-style flower girl dresses totally stole the show!
Party time!
Unfortunately, the weather turned south and it was incredibly grey instead of the beautiful sunset we were all hoping for.  Still, Rhi & Drew and I ventured outside for a few moments during their reception to grab some photos with the last light of the day.  I know I have lots of favorites from the day, but these last few are at the top 🙂
A huge congrats to you two! Â I think I can speak for all your friends, family, and guests and say that it was an AWESOME day!
