The Very Best of 2016

It’s been a truly amazing year. I’ve been blessed to work with some wonderful couples, families, and seniors. I always like to look back and pick out some of my favorites from the year, but it is SO hard to narrow it down! I love far too many.

Cayla was seriously the most stunning bride, and I love both of these bridal portraits of her for her wedding in Pella.

Shooting an engagement session in London was one of the highlights of my year – so unforgettable!

I’ve photographed over a hundred weddings, and the vows are still my favorite part of every wedding.
Half the weddings I photographed this year were either in Pella or Grinnell, which was wonderful for me! I really feel like I got to know my couples well because we were able to build some great connections. I hope 2017 brings more of the same!

This beautiful styled shoot from June was featured on Wedding Chicks, and was such a fun experience!

Leah & Eddie’s wedding at Prairie Meadows was gorgeous, but I will always LOVE this portrait we shot at the Agriculture Building at the Iowa State Fairgrounds. One of my favorites!

All of my ceremonies were indoors this year, but this church was by far my favorite – such beautiful natural light!

One thing that was so wonderful this year was so many of my couples have rich stories and rich faith. Every ceremony was full of such meaning and purpose.
