All About Their Nepali Wedding
Aryaa and Alex hosted their traditional South Asian wedding in the summer of 2025 in Kathmandu, Nepal. Because not everyone from the states could travel overseas, they hosted a beautiful Nepali wedding reception locally in Des Moines for their friends and family to celebrate. Their stateside reception was held at the downtown Des Moines Marriott. This venue was perfect for the event because of the convenience of having accommodations for their guests, in addition to a large ballroom space to hold their wedding reception.
Importance of Choosing a Planner
Their wedding celebration was carefully orchestrated by the team at Soireé, who masterfully assembled an amazing vendor team for their colorful festivities. The planning team helped design a unique and colorful color palette that kept in line with the traditional colors for their Nepali wedding, but added modern touches. We loved the pinks and blues that they added in addition to the colorful floral arrangements and gold decor. Soireé also assisted in connecting Aryaa and Alex with their vendor team (including us!) to ensure they had experienced vendors who are familiar with the customs and events at their South Asian wedding.
