I’m so excited to share this intimate rooftop wedding held at the Des Moines Building from September. Â Jackie & Brandon chose to have a smaller celebration with close friends and family, gathered together at the perfect place for sweeping views of the capitol and downtown Des Moines! Â It was amazing and so unique.
We started their day off at the Hampton Inn, hoping for the rain to pass…I think every wedding except one has had rain this year! Â I was greeted by Jackie’s beautiful lace dress and this luxurious bouquet.
Jackie and Brandon’s sweet daughter was their flower girl for the day – she wasn’t quite sure about all of this fancy getting ready stuff, but sure was cute!
The rain forced us indoors for their first look, and I’m so grateful for this one small wall at the hotel that worked for a few quick portraits.
If anyone ever has doubts about doing a rooftop wedding, let this photo put any of those thoughts to rest. Â I loved every second of it!
We were blessed with delicious cake AND a gorgeous sunset!
Jackie & Brandon were gracious enough to head down to the World Food Prize building for a few quick portraits around sunset since we missed our chance to be outside during most of portrait time earlier in the day. Â We only had about 5 minutes for these shots, but they are some of my favorites!
We ended the night with a lantern balloon send off – which was so cool to see from the rooftop!
Congrats Brandon and Jackie!
