WE’RE GLAD YOU’RE HERE!

Hey there, and welcome to the JWP blog!  We are a photography team based in Iowa, and we hope you’ll enjoy viewing some of our most recent weddings, as well as the many tips we have for couples.  You can also enjoy some of our business and educational resources for photographers.

Mary Kate & Nate’s Intimate Backyard Wedding

After considering rescheduling their wedding entirely due to COVID, Mary Kate and Nate opted to have an intimate wedding in their parent’s beautiful backyard here in Iowa.   Instead of a large wedding, they opted to gather just with their friends and immediate family.  They held their wedding ceremony at the church Mary Kate’s parents were married at many years ago. Sarah & Tim’s Summer Engagement Session in Grinnell

Everything about this engagement session held in Grinnell on a late summer day was perfect.  Tim and Sarah are seriously the kindest people you will meet.  And I love that their story connects across the country with right here in Grinnell, and that they are coming back to where it all began to start their life together.  I’ll share more about their story when I come back to fill in some details, but for now, enjoy my absolute favorites!!!! We took a break for drinks at St. Kilda’s and while I don’t usually love doing photos in bars, and these aren’t perfectly in focus, I still

Molly & Nick’s West Des Moines Ballroom Wedding

Sometimes, there are just those couples who you click with so effortlessly – Molly and Nick are one of those couples.  From the very beginning, I knew that I would adore getting to know them and photographing their wedding.  Molly has the perfect taste in style and decor – she loves classic, beautiful, and timeless.  Her and I have pretty much the exact same taste!  And when she shared how excited she was to work with Kelly at Bella Flora on their wedding design, I knew everything would come together exactly as she envisioned.   Their dream ballroom wedding came
