New Wedding Website

Those on facebook have already noticed, but I’ve introduced something new, and in the process, sorta shaken things up around here.  I think it will be a good change though!

Just yesterday, I posted my most recent wedding over on my NEW wedding website!  Yes, that’s right, I know have a separate website/blog for weddings.  (And to be sure, it’s still slightly under construction, so bear with me!)   You may be wondering why I’ve divided things up like this.  Basically, I find that the interests and needs of wedding clients is entirely different from portrait clients.  One is hiring me to document perhaps one of the most important moments in their life that spans 8+hours, and the other is hiring me to capture a particular phase in the life of their family in less than 2 hours.  And while a lot of potential portrait clients may find it fun to see the latest wedding I’ve shot, I’ve found most brides & grooms just want to see weddings & engagements.

Plus, having this shared space just felt a tiny bit clunky in my opinion, so I’ve moved all of my wedding posts over to the new site (don’t worry, I’ve kept the old ones here, but anything new will be posted on the new site).  You’ll soon find a link at the top labeled “weddings” where you can easily jump over and view the latest and greatest.  When a new post is up, I’ll be sure to let you know!  And for those who are curious, most of the “for clients” posts will now be catered accordingly as well, though you may see some posts on both sites if I think they’ll  be helpful to both audiences.

So, I hope you’ll join me over at the new digs!  And because no post is any good without a photo, here’s a little teaser from Torrey & Yasin’s wedding.  The full post is on the new site.
