Erin & Mark are good friends of mine who I’ve gotten to know over the past year and a half after they moved to Grinnell, and I was so excited when they asked me to do another fall family mini photo session with them and their daughter! Â We did a brief mini shoot last year (which I’m pretty sure I forgot to blog…) and luckily, even though it was kind of a crummy fall this year, we lucked out by having one last nice day in November for a quick photo shoot. Â Enjoy!
Their little girl is just a month older than my son, and she is SO so sweet – love this little girl!
You may be curious what makes a mini session different than a full session.  Basically, they are short and quick – usually about 20 mins.  Usually I choose the location, the family pics one outfit, and we move pretty fast to get roughly about 20-30 great images for the family to choose 3 from for download, though many families end up adding on the full gallery purchase.  They are really great for families who want just a few updated photos to share with friends and family or use for holiday cards!  A full session is much more customized, and usually works better for larger families or who have kids that need just a bit more time to “warm up” to the camera.  I offer mini sessions during a few set times per year (usually one spring and one fall) but you can also always ask me to do a mini and see if it fits on my calendar 🙂
Haha – this is SO the life of parents of a 3 year old.  Sometimes super easy and wonderful, and other times, they just collapse on your lap and don’t really want to do what you’re there to do.  🙂
She looks so much more like a little kid than a toddler in this one on the right – all grown up!
