One of the coolest parts of wedding photography is getting to hear the stories of the couples that we meet. Lauren and Ethan’s story was unique in that it was filled with coincidences that are almost comical but also very romantic. These two grew up together, attending the same preschool and middle school before going their separate ways for high school and college! They had both all but given up on dating and settled into a stretch of singleness when they both decided to try out dating one last time. They both downloaded the same dating app where they recognized each other and set up a first date! They describe their first date as feeling like they clicked and they both knew it was something special.
Ethan decided to ask Lauren to marry her in a way that he knew she would love. He joined her for a run on her favorite trail on her birthday. He had the ring hidden in his running glove and when they got to a good clearing, he pretended to tie his shoelace and instead popped the question! Since then, they have spent their time with their dog Willow, playing board games, being active, drinking coffee, and wedding planning! Their wedding was simple, elegant and filled with time surrounded by people that care about them! You can tell that their comfort zone is being near each other and it was so sweet to be able to photograph those moments of nearness. Take a peek at this gorgeous day below!
