Elizabeth and Travis first met 15 years ago when they both attended entrepreneurial camp during high school. A little something sparked and they kept in touch after for a little bit, and then eventually life took them separate ways. Â Fast forward to 2017, during a visit to Minnesota, Travis’s friends encouraged him to see who he could meet through Bumble and invite to come hang out, and low and behold, there was a familiar face: Elizabeth. Â Even though it didn’t work out for them to go on a date, they kept in touch this time. Â And eventually, that little something …developed into something more!
Over the past few years, Elizabeth moved to be closer to Travis, they worked on renovating his childhood home, and also found out they were expecting a baby! Â As they began planning their wedding for 2020, they could have never expected to have Covid throw such a curve-ball. Â Like many other couples, they were forced to reschedule their wedding at Diamond Oak Events, however everything was just as beautiful as their original plans and we were so grateful we could be there to celebrate with them and their families!

This was our first time at Diamond Oak Events, and it is one of the most beautiful locations! Â I love the walkway leading up to the main barn!
I love all of the beautiful feminine details that Elizabeth chose!
The outdoor ceremony spot at Diamond Oaks has these incredibly majestic oak trees that are just stunning.
Family is super important to both Elizabeth and Travis. Â A number of years ago, Elizabeth lost her mom, and yet she still felt her presence throughout the day by including her mom in a number of small personal details. Â She embroidered her mother’s signature, alongside both her grandmother’s and great grandmother’s, inside the lining of her wedding gown. Â I love this sweet way of keeping the most important people close on a wedding day.
Throughout their day, it was breezy and very warm, but cloudy – which was a blessing, because we could photograph almost anywhere!
Such a sweet first look between Travis & Elizabeth! Â We then had a moment for Teddy and Elizabeth that was even sweeter!
Teddy is just absolutely adorable!
Another sweet and emotional moment with Elizabeth’s dad. Â I’m loving daddy-daughter looks more and more!
One of the fun little things I often do with clients is think of their celebrity look-a-like. Â Please tell me I’m not the only one that thinks Travis looks like Tom Cruise? Â Do you see it? Â Because I totally do!
This spot on the gravel lane is one of my favorites!
I decided to experiment with double exposures, something that’s a bit newer to me. Â I love how this one turned out!
They had such a fun bridal party!
Time to get married!
Loved Teddy’s run down the aisle!
Dancing down the aisle! Â I love how much fun Elizabeth and Travis had the entire day.
Following the ceremony, we hopped on the trolley, and took a short drive to the river for a little celebration with the bridal party and a few extra photos with Elizabeth & Travis.
We almost didn’t take this photo – it was windy and I was worried we would get Elizabeth’s dress wet close to the river, but…the wind died down for just a moment, and now we have this gorgeous image!
Gotta love a fun pop of the champagne!
How cute is this trolley we got to ride on? Â Love it!
We had the most GORGEOUS sunset evening photo time – and we just laughed and had so much fun during this time!
My new favorite posing cue:  run!!!  No really, it’s perfect for fun and light hearted photos, and just something a little different 🙂
We gathered back at the barn for dances and then ended the night with a sparkler serenade on the patio.
Loved ending the night dancing on the patio with sparklers and everyone surrounding Elizabeth and Travis! Â It was the perfect conclusion to the day! Â Congrats you two!
