One thing I’ve noticed recently is a lot of photographers offering just a CD in their wedding photography packages, leaving the bride to do their own prints and album design. This is a great option for brides who want every image, for brides that anticipate making a lot of prints, or the DIY type bride who has the time and knowledge to design and print their own album or book. From my experience, I find that most brides don’t ever get around to making prints or an album. For albums in particular, the process can be daunting and time-consuming.
I believe that heirloom albums that can be passed down from one generation to the next and treasured for a lifetime are something every bride should have. I offer albums in three of my four wedding packages, and about 95% of my brides choose to have an album as part of their wedding photography. Many brides still purchase the CD of images for safe-keeping and peace of mind, but albums and prints are still a favorite for many brides.
If you have a CD from your wedding and haven’t made prints or an album yet, I’m more than willing to help in designing your album and having it printed and bound using my album company, Forbeyon. You’ll receive a discount on the design services since the photographs aren’t mine. If you’d like to inquire about pricing, please contact me!
