Anna & Calvin couldn’t have asked for a more perfect day for their wedding.  Surrounded by friends and family, they exchanged vows on May 19th during their outdoor ceremony at the Salisbury House in Des Moines.  I could not be more grateful to work with these two kind people!  Not only are they so in love, they are seriously the MOST relaxed bride and groom I’ve ever worked.  Seriously.  Even when part of Anna’s dress was missing, never to be found, she just went with the flow and did without.  Gotta love a carefree bride!  All of the laughs, hugs, and dancing made for a memorable night.  It was a joy to be there, and an honor to be their photographer.  Congrats to you both, and I hope you are enjoying your honeymoon!
Anna had the perfect dress – by Cara Mia, from the Bridal Connection.
Florals were provided by Rachel Delzell, friend of the bride, who works with Fete Events. Â The bouquets were STUNNING.
Many thanks to my amazing second shooter who worked with me on this wedding, Robyn. Â She captured these next few detail shots while I scurried around to shoot the remaining details. Â I couldn’t have done it without her!
My draw dropped when I saw her ring. Â So beautiful!
A quiet moment of the groom reviewing his vows, captured by Robyn.
Anna, you were such a beautiful bride!
Another moment grabbed by Robyn – I tear up every time I see this shot, because I love how tightly Anna’s dad is hugging her. Â So sweet!
Catering was provided by Christiani’s, and they did a phenomenal job!
I’ll admit, I’m a total sucker for dessert. Â And what could be better than a tower of cheesecakes, chocolate mouse, and fruit?
We snuck off for a few sunset photos during their reception – I loved how Anna & Calvin just cut loose!
These ladies were SO much fun – they definitely got the party started!
Congrats, Anna & Calvin! Â Thank you for allowing me to be part of your day!
