We have been SO blessed with amazing weather the past few weeks. Usually, I dread July because it is so hot and humid. But instead, we’ve had unseasonably cool days, making it feel like fall or spring. And that has meant the few sessions that I have around this time are SO WONDERFUL! I’m loving it. Celeste and Ben were fortunate enough to have one of these gorgeous 70 degree days, with no wind (a rarity here in Iowa) and it was a delight to photograph them. I can’t wait for their wedding next week!
We did their engagement photos around the Grinnell College campus, one of my favorite places. It’s been a long time since I’ve had an engagement session there, so it was nice to return for a few casual portraits!
Ben is originally from St. Louis, where he and Celeste met. They are BIG Cardinals fans, having season tickets and the joy of watching several world series wins (and losses) the last few years. While I can’t share their team enthusiasm (I’m a Red Sox fan, and my husband is a die hard Cubs fan), I can definitely get on board with a few photos to capture their shared love for their team 🙂
