I love their story – they met through her sister while visiting Adventureland theme park.  He popped the question near a flock of geese at a local lake.  And they’re getting married in her hometown next September.  Could they not be more down to earth?  🙂  I’ve gotten to know Emily over the past few months since she works for the local Chamber of Commerce, and she is truly fabulous.  I keep saying that if all of my brides met, they would be friends, and it is so true!  They’re all just wonderful, nice, and completely down to earth.  I know I said that already, but it’s simply the best way to describe the amazing clients I work with.  I’m truly blessed to know them and be part of their lives, and I definitely feel that way about Emily & David.
For Emily & David’s engagement session, we started out classy with some shots at Grinnell College.
After a quick outfit change, we headed out west of town to Rock Creek State Park. Â The fall colors and warm late afternoon sun were GORGEOUS.
Emily, you are so beautiful!
A little bit fun and quirky, at the request of Emily – I kinda like it!
I just love how this one captures the sweet love they share 🙂
Another quick outfit change, and we headed closer to the water.
I haven’t done too many photo shoots by water until this year. Â I mean, I live in Iowa where most “lakes” are man-made, and there just aren’t very many anyways! Â So working with bright full sun reflecting off of the water was a new challenge for sure!
This little lady bud was a lucky find! Â He sat there for quite a while, patiently waiting for me to leave him alone!
Emily & David, thanks for a wonderful day! Â You both looked awesome, and I can’t wait for your wedding next September in West Union.
