Miranda was my first senior for the class of 2012 for Grinnell High School, and it was a great portrait session! Â Her session was back in early May, and we were lucky to have one of those perfect warm spring days. Â We visited a few places around downtown Grinnell, and also took some photos near the pond at the Grinnell Country Club. Â Towards the end, we were joined by her fiance, Brandon, and her dog Chevy. Â Did I spell that right? Â I’m honestly not sure! Â Anyways, Miranda rocked her session and I hope she has a great senior year as she works super hard to graduate early!
I posted this one on facebook, but I had to add it again – I mean, who can resist such a cute dog? Â Not me!
I love love LOVE this door with the brick. Â I need to find more places like this around Grinnell and Newton – I’m always looking for funky urban locations.
This might be my favorite picture of Brandon & Miranda. Â I know it’s not the typical smiling-with-eye-contact picture, but I love the connection it shows between the two, and that her “love” necklace is perfectly in focus.
When I saw Brandon a few weeks ago at their ordering appointment, I almost didn’t recognize him.  A few days after this session, he left for basic training and had shaved his head!  Apparently both of them miss his longer hair 🙂
Thanks for a wonderful time, you two!
