I’m entering a photo into the I Heart Faces photo competition this week. This will be my first time participating and I’m excited! This weeks theme is photojournalism, with the idea that one photo (or a small collection or collage of photos) should tell a story. I love love LOVE telling stories with photos, that’s my main goal in every wedding or portrait session.
This is one of my most favorite photos recently. It tells a simultaneous story of anticipation and joy – the bride is eager to get to her wedding ceremony and walk down the aisle, and her father is beaming in delight over what is about to occur. I love it – the combination of emotions, the stillness, and the joy contained in such different facial expressions. It was a small little moment that really tells the story of the day for both people.
