If the title of Emily and Dan’s wedding venue doesn’t grab you, these infectious smiles will! We were lucky enough to join Emily and Dan as they celebrated their wedding at the Czech Slovak Museum in Cedar Rapids, Iowa!
Emily and Dan’s story is sprinkled with unique details. They met at a Zombie Bar Crawl in Minneapolis while Emily was living in the Twin Cities and Dan was living in Cedar Rapids. Their first date consisted of Dan driving back to Minnesota to attend Emily’s Ultimate Frisbee team’s prom! Their proposal didn’t go exactly as Dan planned it because when he was unable to find a private spot. This forced Dan to propose in front of their car, to which Emily responded, “I knew it!”
All of this led to the couple’s beautiful wedding day! From the gorgeous emerald bridesmaid dresses to Dan’s second tux jacket being cheetah printed, this couple made the day their own! Emily said that she wanted her wedding day to be filled with good food and smiles so big they hurt. I think you’ll be able to see all of that in the pictures below!
Who would’ve thought that a bouquet and a bowtie would look so good together!
These outdoor stringed edison bulbs created such a beautiful space!
The neutral tones of the flowers in the bouquet against the ivory of her dress were stunning!
The dark green in these details were so creative and fit the couple and the wedding perfectly.
The elegant green dresses really complimented the formal suits that the groomsmen were wearing! And being able to match the bowties to the dresses so perfectly is impressive!
The type of photos that you’ll treasure forever.
It’s hard to tell who was more excited about this first look!
Not many grooms could pull off the cheetah print jacket but Dan rocked it!
One of the things that Emily said she was most excited about was seeing Dan’s face as she walked down the aisle. And he did not disappoint!
The details on the back of this dress were so lovely.
We had to take advantage of some of the unique Cedar Rapids scenery.
Congratulations again to Emily and Dan! It’s so clear that you wanted your wedding to be a time of joy that you share with your guests, and you accomplished just that! Thanks for letting us be a part of it!
